Migrating Igiko to a new host

To migrate Igiko to another host while preserving the license and settings, follow these steps:

  1. Stop the "Igiko Management Tools" and "Igiko Tunnel Service" services if they are running.

  2. Stop the "influxd" process through the Task Manager if it is running.

  3. Archive all the contents of the C:\ProgramData\Igiko directory, except for the Logs directory. Name this archive, for example, ProgramData.zip.

  4. Copy the Igiko.TunnelService.exe.config and Igiko.exe.Config files to a separate folder from the directory where Igiko was installed (default: C:\Program Files\Igiko).

  5. (If using SQL Server) Create a backup of your database.

  6. Transfer the obtained files to the new host.

On the new host, follow these steps:

  1. (If using SQL Server) Restore the data from the previously created SQL Server backup on the old host.

  2. Install Igiko using a trial or free license, and also specify arbitrary settings, as they will be replaced with settings from the old host later. Note that the same components are selected as you did during installation on the host you are migrating from.

  3. Stop the "Igiko Management Tools" and "Igiko Tunnel Service" services.

  4. Stop the "influxd" process through the Task Manager if it is running.

  5. In the C:\ProgramData\Igiko directory, replace all the contents with the contents from the ProgramData.zip archive.

  6. In the directory where Igiko was installed, replace the Igiko.TunnelService.exe.config and Igiko.exe.Config files with those copied from the old host.

  7. Start the "Igiko Management Tools" and "Igiko Tunnel Service" services.
